For engineers

Steady, local landlord work, without chasing payment

Severn LetSafe books landlord gas safety checks, EICRs and EPCs across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire, and arranges access with the tenant. You do the inspection and upload the certificate, and we pay within 7 days.

Three counties, one local network

GL, WR and HR postcodes, plus Redditch (B97, B98) and Kidderminster (DY10, DY11). Worcestershire and Herefordshire are first in the PRS Database rollout.

Access arranged for you

We confirm the slot with the tenant and keep a dated record, so you have fewer wasted trips.

Paid in 7 days

Twice-weekly payment runs once your certificate passes our quality check.

What membership can't buy. Every partner must pass the same checks before receiving any job: the Gas Safe Register, NICEIC or NAPIT, or the EPC scheme register; insurance; identity and right to work; and (recommended) a basic DBS check. Jobs are allocated on quality and coverage, not payment alone. Priority first refusal applies only when you pass every eligibility check and your quality score is within 10 points of the best available partner. Landlords are told that membership is paid. Read the full allocation rules.

How it works

From application to first job

  1. Apply online

Trade, registration numbers, insurance, postcodes and availability. About 10 minutes.

  2. Pay the £49 verification fee and your annual membership

Membership is refunded in full if you don't pass. Your year starts on the day you're verified.

  3. We verify you

Register check, insurance, ID and right to work, and basic DBS. Usually within 5 working days (DBS can take up to 14).

  4. We write your bio

From your profile answers. You approve it, then it's published.

  5. Receive jobs

Offered by email. Accept, attend, upload the certificate, get paid within 7 days.

  6. Renew yearly

Renewal lines up with your yearly re-check of registration and insurance.

What you're paid

Job (standard home)Landlord paysYou are paid (indicative)
Gas safety check (up to 3 appliances)£70£45.50
EICR (studio to 2 bed)£140£91.00
EPC (up to 3 bed)£70£45.50
Smoke & CO alarm check (same visit)£15£10.00

Indicative trade rates (65% of the landlord price) are estimates, confirmed in your partner agreement. Bigger homes pay pro rata. You set your own remedial prices; if a landlord accepts remedial work you price through us, you pay a disclosed 12.5% referral fee.

Your professional bio, included

Membership includes a professionally written profile of you and your company. Answer a few questions by email, then upload a photo and your logo. Our team writes the bio (sometimes with help from an AI drafting tool, always checked by a person). You approve it, Richard approves it, and only then is it published to landlords in the "Meet your engineer" profile and PDF.

Partner prices are reviewed annually. No VAT is charged while Severn LetSafe is not VAT registered.

Partner questions

Do I have to pay to join?

Yes: a one-off £49 verification fee that covers the cost of the checks, plus annual membership (Partner £199 or Priority Partner £449, Partner introductory rate: 50% off your first year, limited places in each area). Membership is refunded in full if you don't pass verification.

When do I get jobs?

Only once every check has passed and your status changes from "Pending verification" to "Verified". No jobs are offered before that.

Does paying more get me more jobs?

Priority Partners get first refusal in their postcodes, but only if they pass every check and their quality score is within 10 points of the best available partner. Quality and coverage come first, and landlords are told membership is paid.

Why annual, not monthly?

A single yearly payment means no monthly collections or failed payments to chase. It is cheaper for both sides, and it renews on the same day as your yearly re-check.
